Organisational design
Structures and roles that match how work needs to get done.
Structure shapes how work flows, who decides and how quickly the organisation can respond. We help leaders design structures and roles that fit their strategy, with clear options and a realistic plan for moving to the new design.
Who it is for: Leaders planning growth or a restructure.
When to call us
- The organisation has grown and the structure has not kept up.
- Work is duplicated across teams, or some responsibilities have no clear owner.
- You are planning a merger, a new division or a restructure.
What we do
- Review of structure and workflows: We review the current structure, spans of control and how work moves between teams, using data, interviews and process mapping.
- Role and decision-rights design: We define roles, accountabilities and decision rights so people know what they own and where decisions sit.
- Options and impact analysis: We develop two or three structure options and assess each against cost, risk, capability and impact on people.
- Transition planning: We plan the transition in stages, including communication, role mapping and support for managers and staff.
What you get
- A review of your current structure, roles and reporting lines
- Structure options with the trade-offs of each, explained in plain terms
- Role outlines and a transition plan for the option you choose
